WHAT WE DO

Our Services

Exposed / Washed Aggregate (honed and polished)

Exposed aggregate is a hard wearing and decorative alternative to standard concrete, it is perfect for pathways, pool surrounds, driveways and outdoor entertainment areas. The exposed effect is created by removing the surface concrete to reveal the beautiful stones embedded within. A sealer is then applied to protect and enhance the finished product. You can choose a heavier or lighter aggregate exposure depending on your desired look and feel. A lighter exposure creates a smoother more bare-foot friendly surface, while a heavier exposure provides maximum slip resistance.

Expose Aggregate allows you to choose from a wide variety of aggregates and concrete colours. The concrete is coloured all the way through for maximum consistency and integrity. This is achieve this by adding the colour pigment to the concrete during the manufacturing process which provides a superior result to surface colouring techniques.

Although, due to the extent of work involved in the laying & finish of exposed aggregate concrete, there is slightly higher in cost that standard grey concrete, Exposed Aggregate has very high durability and will add a beautiful look to any area.

Glow Stone Concrete

Create that ‘WOW’ factor in your home!

Glow stones in concrete, in the dark stones, look great in both polished concrete and exposed aggregate concrete applications anytime of the day or night. During daylight hours, Glow Stones have the look of a classic crushed white marble aggregate, adding a real depth and quality to any concreted area. By night, be prepared to be amazed as these tumbled stone like pieces transform to emit a captivating ambient glow lasting for many hours. Glow stones for concrete can be used either indoors or outdoors.

Glow Stones have strontium aluminate, the active compound that absorbs and emits light, embedded throughout the entire aggregate.

The brightness of the glow emitted by Photoluminescent aggregates are affected by their surrounding environments. Put simply, the darker the night, the brighter they glow. For instance, if you have a street light or a bright moon present, the brilliance of the glow will appear less than it would in a darker setting. Glow Stones work best when placed under either direct sunlight or a sufficient quality artificial light source.

Glow stones don’t come cheap but if you want it done right its well worth the cost.

Stencil Pattern Concrete

Stencil Pattern Concrete is a cement based colour hardener, which when correctly applied to concrete can give the appearance of rustic bricks, pavers, stones, tiles and other similar type finishes. It comes in a variety of colours and texture grades and is used for stencil, stamp or unpatterned coloured concrete.

The pigments are inorganic insoluble metal oxides, which are extremely UV and chemical resistant. Some shading variation may occur over a period of 5 years. However, this is barely detectable to the human eye. The application of a UV sealer will maintain and help preserve the colour.
